Your terminal sessions keep running when the phone moves between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Claude Code
and other AI coding CLIs carry on, and the app reattaches in about a second.
Version 1.1.0 · 7.1 MB · 2026-10-20 · Android 8 or newer
Install
Tap Download for Android, then open the downloaded file.
If Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps.
Open Terminal X, add your server, and start a Claude Code session.
What a session survives
Switching networks. Wi-Fi to mobile data, another Wi-Fi, or a VPN going up or down.
No signal for a while. Tunnels, lifts and airplane mode. It reconnects when the network returns.
Screen off, other apps, the app closed or the phone restarted. Tabs come back where they were.
A server reboot. The Claude Code conversation resumes in the same tab.
How
Each tab is a tmux session on your server, so the programs never depend on the connection.
On first connect the app installs a small helper in ~/.terminalx. The server only needs SSH and
tmux.
